EARLY MORNING START-
Bags out in the hall by 3 45 am and the on the bus by 4 30 am.
We stumbled into the airport by 5 am. This was the only time the group was not scattering and Yvonne was able to plant us all at a post to wait for our tickets and check in.
Of course, when you are early........... The 6 30 am flight was delayed until after they got the engine put back together ....after 8 am.
Our Cusco, Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, and environs guide, Juan, shows us pictures and gives us lectures. Originally a college professor, Juan's passion for INCA and Ancash history, along with an very healthy entrepreneurial spirit make him a fasinating guide. He plays and manufacture flutes...we buy the flutes and his CDs (and his cousin's alpaca).
