Wake up call at 3AM, shower, finish packing, bags out by 4 AM and stumble down stairs for a small breakfast that the hotel has scraped together for us. No self respecting Limonero would be caught up at this hour. A drive to the airport with NO traffic, a first. Then we sit and listen to the loud speaker canceling flights to Cusco. Our 6:30AM departure finally leaves at 8:30 AM. We land in Cusco at 10 AM and are greeted at the airport by a great Peruvian band. We check in to the Hotel Libertador, drink cocoa tea and go rest for three hours. We are right on the site of the ancient center of Cusco.
